At 3:00 a.m. EST on March 20, 2020, we were alerted to anomalous activity on our network which risked the integrity of our data-centers.\u201d<\/p><p>The anomalous activity was spotted by Finastra\u2019s security team which lead to them immediately turned off some of their servers and started an investigation with the help of a leading digital forensic firm. Soon after the start of the investigation, they announced that they \u201cstrongly believe that the incident was the result of a ransomware attack\u201d.<\/p><p>Finastra also states that they \u201cdo not have any evidence that customer or employee data was accessed or exfiltrated, nor do we believe our clients\u2019 networks were impacted.&#8221; At this time, Finastra is currently working to bring back its systems online and to resolve the issues caused by part of the servers on the company&#8217;s network being shut down.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On the 20th of March 2020, Finastra, a leading financial technology provider from the UK, announced that it had to take several servers offline in response to a security breach they had discovered earlier that day.
