The Steamship Authority confirmed there was no impact to the safety of vessel operations, as the ransomware did not affect radar or GPS functionality.<\/p><p>All the scheduled trips still went ahead without disruption, and customers were able to pay for vehicle and passenger tickets by paying in cash as availability of credit card systems was limited.<\/p><p>The Steamship Authority states that they were working with their team internally, as well as with local, state, and federal officials externally, to address incident.
